Assistant Director:
The Virtues of Things
Royal Opera House / Aldeburgh Music / Opera North, 2015
About
THE VIRTUES OF THINGS premiered in the Linbury Studio at the Royal Opera House in 2015. It tells the story of the De Selby family, renowned opera props makers, whose traditional approach to craftsmanship is shaken up when a freelance maker joins their studio, bringing with him a love of technology and all things modern.
The production was directed by Bijan Sheibani, and Elayce assisted him at the ROH before taking the show on tour to Opera North in Leeds and Snape Maltings in Aldeburgh.
