About
Sometimes you crack.
Sometimes you didn’t mean to yell that.
Sometimes you have to lay low until you’ve figured it out.
And sometimes, sometimes you have to hibernate until you’ve healed.
This is a new day.
SHEDDING A SKIN is a new play by Amanda Wilkin, the winner of Soho Theatre’s acclaimed Verity Bargate Award 2020. It’s a play about finding kindness in unexpected places. A play about connecting with what our elders can teach us – new skin honouring old skin. A play about joy, healing and protest. And having a good belly laugh.
It was the opening production at Soho Theatre, after closure during the pandemic, playing from 17 June - 17 July 2021. The production enjoyed a sell-out run and was revived in 2022, playing again at the Soho Theatre from 2 - 22 March 2022.
